Norfolk Southern Highway Crossing Roadwork
Beginning Wednesday, January 15ᵗʰ , Norfolk Southern (NS) will be doing railroad maintenance
beginning at the Lee St. and Moore St. railroad intersections adjacent to Scott St. After these
intersections are completed, Norfolk Southern will then move to the Spurgeon Ln. railroad crossing
west of Commonwealth Ave. NS will have one lane closed and one lane open with flaggers. The
railroad work is anticipated to take two (2) hours per location.
On January 16ᵗʰ , NS will begin railroad crossing maintenance at the Commonwealth Ave. crossing
adjacent to Highland Ave. NS will have one lane closed and one lane open with flaggers. This is
anticipated to take one (1) day.
On January 17ᵗʰ , NS will conclude the maintenance activities at the Euclid Ave crossing west of
Commonwealth Ave. NS will have one lane closed and one lane open with flaggers. This is anticipated
to take one (1) day.
Local traffic should anticipate delays and is encouraged to find alternate routes. The attached
diagrams show each location of the temporary closures.
