Work continued this week on setting up and tuning the temporary flare to efficiently extract combustible gas from the quarry landfill. A new 8-inch header line for the gas extraction system within the quarry landfill was also installed. This new header pipe will allow for more effective gas extraction from the vertical wells and the Sidewall Odor Mitigation System (SOMS).
