Crews persisted through the rain this week to install additional dewatering pumps to allow for further liquid and condensate removal from the quarry landfill. Work also continued on placing an additional 8-inch header pipe around the southern end of the quarry landfill to remove landfill gas. This redundant pipe loop with allow for continued gas extraction as a permanent back-up to the current header pipe.
