Several pumps were removed, cleaned, and reinstalled as part of ongoing maintenance at the Quarry Landfill this week. Additionally, soil and bentonite were added to several areas of the landfill due to natural settlement of the waste mass. At the older, adjacent landfill, the gas collection system went into service this week. This major milestone marks substantial completion of closure of the older landfill.
