In addition to regular maintenance activities - monitoring of the blower, flare and wellfield; and breaking down, cleaning, and repairing pumps - this week, crews worked to add eight additional pumps to the extraction well network to help facilitate pump rotation and the extraction of landfill liquids.
Two DEQ inspectors (one solid waste, one groundwater) visited the site on Wednesday, October 23, to check on the installation of a replacement groundwater well. The installation process is expected to continue for several more days. No areas of deficiency were noted.
