Crews raised four pipes that are part of the Sidewall Odor Mitigation System (SOMS) at the Bristol Quarry Landfill this week. The pipes were raised to allow for the addition of soil in the area due to settlement. Normal maintenance operations also occurred this week - including blower/flare checks; the breakdown, cleaning and rebuilding of pumps; gas sampling; and well field readings.
