Realignment of the Sidewall Odor Mitigation System (SOMS) header pipe to create efficiencies at the Bristol Quarry Landfill is a top priority and consumed almost the entire week for work crews. The effort will help to reduce condensation and maximize flow. This work is now 75% complete on the west side of the landfill (up from 25% complete last week) and 90% complete on the east side of the landfill (up from 85% complete last week).
Additionally crews conducted routine maintenance this week including adjusting gas systems for efficiency.
