Further tuning of the vertical gas extraction wells and the Sidewall Odor Mitigation System (SOMS) continue to maximize remediation efforts at the Bristol Quarry Landfill. The additional tuning includes installation of a vertical 12-inch header pipe that will assist in removing condensation and allow for increased gas extraction. Grading work also continued this week on the older 498 landfill that is adjacent to the quarry landfill.
