Landfill Notifications and Information

With the recent snow, freezing rain, and rain in our area, inclement weather has limited the remediation progress at the Bristol Quarry Landfill but crews continued to fine-tune the benzene extraction system this week. The uptick in colder temperatures can also increase odors from the site. 

Despite the challenging weather, crews continue to make headway on the closure process at the older landfill adjacent to the Quarry Landfill where drilling for new perimeter probes and soil extraction wells was recently completed.
